I am thinking of making it a Child of General Discussion & News

This is to reduce the length of the frontpage of the forum.

What do you think of this?

But there are too many important links and child boards there. If I do that  what will happen to them.

Now here's what I think i think u should group. . . .similar boards together. And make child boards under them.
Like . . . Computer, webmasters, tech mart, gamin'. . . And others that are science related should be grouped as child boards under sciences.
 Other's like Tv/movies, celebrities, fashion, music, radio stations, sport, jokes . . Should be under general entertainment. . . While stuffs like . . . Education, business, politics health. . Bla bla bla should be grouped under General discussion. . . . . So u'll have somethin' like 3 - 4 main boards and child boards under em. . . .some child boards may also hv boards under them. Like the tech under sciences may carry boards like Gizmondo, engadget. . . E.t.c. . . . .
 I dont know If u'll find this idea very innovative but this is Boss ttdiamonds contributin' to nairaforum. . . .
