People have this believe that Olabisi Onabanjo University, located in Ago-Iwoye Ogun State, is the worst university in this Nigeria. Even, I've seen parents vowing that their children will never study in the school. What do you think?

Em I have not gone there before. I really I dont know about that school. But I will do a small research/interview about it.

Could you tell us what they really do that made you or those "parents" dislike them?

Thank you for sharing this with us.

Many have been talking of the high level of immorality, prostitution and cultism. Many even have this belief that the products of the school are corrupt.

These 3things are every where.
immorality,
prostitution
and cultism

They are very commen in our higher institution now. The one that really bothers me alot is the issue of prostitution. It has become so common that people don't see anything bad in it.

I stand to be corrected 7 out of 10 young ladies you see are now into one form prostitution or the other.

We need to do something about it.

All4u, I am taking this very serious now. I had an encounter with a lady online who told me she is from OOU. Immediately remembered this thread and I tried to find out what they really do there. I gave her an invitation to come to Lagos and she agreed even to use her money for transportation that I will give it back to her when she comes.

I told her that I am married what if my wife sees her; she insisted we are going to use a hotel and no body will know what is happening.

These OOU people are very bad. I will continue to do a research on this and post comments and findings here.

Hope some parents here will read this and take their children to good schools.

I have also added some links here for us to use.

Wao! This is serious. But should we then because of that believe that all OOU students are bad? God, how I wish I could make a change about people's believe as per OOU students!
I believe there are still good ones among them, I mean, good ambassadors of our nation.
ANY OOU STUDENT THERE?
PLEASE LET'S HERE YOUR VIEW!

Although, it is very sad. I want to categorically state that what is happening at OOU is a common phenomenon in higher institutions in Nigeria. I am a lecturer and am speaking from experience. This is an indication that our nation needs a lot of prayer and God intervention. God bless Nigeria.

have you ever heard from foreigners that Nigerians are corrupt? how do you feel? Generalization is one of the worst crime anyone can commit against a sect of people. OOU has the largest number of students. Infact from info the second largest in africa after universiy of cario. one should not expect. please dont just assume that all OOU students are bad

Ohimae, I have not heard that before that OOU has the largest number of students.

Please no vex, where did you get that from?

I got a call from a student of OOU who read this post. He really admitted that they have some terrible set of people in their school, that if this thread will make them repent, that we should continue with it.

I will be happy if someone who used to a student or a current student should come and talk to us here.

If you know anyone of them, please bring there here.

Cheers!

This is not personal. I have friends in OOU and I know how much they are so furious about the way people classify the OOU students. They have so many times denied to be a student of OOU.

I have decided to post this here in order to try change people's orientation about OOU students, and for the bad ones among them to change for the better.

That's why I'll like call on OOU students and those know some things about the school, to check this post and comment.

Really kelechi, nothing personal about this. I never knew about this problem with OOU until I notice this thread.

I would have loved them to join us. I wonder why they are. Smiley
